CW’s 109th Commencement: Celebrating a Century of Student Success at CW

As we celebrate the achievements of our graduates, let’s also look forward to the bright futures they will forge, thanks to the solid foundation they have built at The College of Westchester. Our Keynote Speaker, Westchester Board Legislator, Jewel Williams Johnson, beautifully encapsulated this sentiment: “You have the power to make a difference. Turn whatever anxiety you may have into a positive action and never lose yourself or what you believe in. Be authentic to yourself, because with patience and persistence, you will reach your goals.”

These words resonate profoundly as we commemorate yet another successful Commencement ceremony – our 109th! Reflecting on all that we have accomplished over our 100+ year history, it is clear that The College of Westchester (CW) has steadfastly remained a career-focused, student-centric small private college. Our commitment to the career success of our students and graduates has never wavered.

Our academic programs are meticulously crafted to equip students with the skills and competencies that employers demand, bridging the gap in the job market with our well-prepared graduates. We are proud to offer flexible programs that cater to the diverse needs of our student body.

Our campus is more than just a place of learning; it’s a community where service to students is at the heart of our culture. The CW faculty, a team chosen for their experience, credentials, and compassion, are dedicated to imparting real-world knowledge in the classroom. The college’s state-of-the-art technologies and web-enhanced learning tools ensure that our students have access to their courses, professors, classmates, and services anytime and anywhere.

Our pledge to students is to continuously deliver quality, career-relevant education, ensuring that businesses have an educated workforce that is ethical and skilled to meet employer needs. Every member of the CW family, from faculty to staff, is united in this commitment to student success. As part of this commitment, we collaborate with our Advisory Council, business leaders in our community, to further ensure we offer in-demand programs. This synergy between education and industry is a testament to our unwavering focus on students.
