White Plains, NY — The College of Westchester is proud to announce that Westchester County Executive Kenneth W. Jenkins will deliver the keynote address at its 109th Commencement Ceremony to the Class of 2025.

A trailblazer in public service, Jenkins made history in January 2025 as the first Black County Executive in Westchester’s history. Known for his unwavering commitment to democracy, safety, education, technology, and community engagement, Jenkins brings decades of experience and leadership to the podium.

Before assuming the County Executive role, Jenkins served as Deputy County Executive and was a long-time member of the Westchester County Board of Legislators, including four years as Chairman. Throughout his career, he has championed key initiatives including tax relief, affordable housing, environmental protection, and support for veterans and working families.

In addition to his public service, Jenkins built a successful career in telecommunications and real estate and has been actively involved in numerous community organizations, including the NAACP, United Way, and Crime Stoppers.

A Yonkers resident, husband, father of three, and grandfather, Jenkins is a proud Iona University graduate and Fordham Preparatory School alumnus.

His keynote address is expected to inspire the graduating class with a powerful message of perseverance, public service, and making a meaningful impact in their communities.
