This summer has just flown by, but I did have the opportunity to speak with our Director of Security, Charles Boklan, as well as Roberto Carvajal, Manager of Facilities. As you might imagine, there is always quite a lot happening on a college campus, whether in the Fall or during the dog days of summer. Luckily, all of our happenings have been good ones!
For a small college, we certainly pack in a lot of student activities, visitors and capital improvements. We reflect on what we have accomplished while also looking ahead to the future.
One big initiative is supporting our Middle States Self Study team, due to visit in October. Everyone on campus has made many preparations, including Charlie and Roberto. We are eagerly anticipating our team visit.
Another initiative which encompasses both capital improvements and staff commitments is the refurbishing and staffing of the Student Services Center. This initiative is happening to better serve our students. Our testing center is also undergoing enhancements designed to help more students test and obtain critical certifications needed for today’s great employment positions.
We look forward to seeing you on campus soon to check out what’s been happening on campus, and are grateful to both Charlie and Roberto for their tireless efforts!
