Britney Ricketts, Treasurer & Secretary

Hey guys!!!! Its Britney

Since graduating, life has been a whirlwind of experiences that have shaped both my personal and professional journey. After college, I seized the opportunity to find a job as fast as I could, and I did. I worked with patients in a clinical setting, and this not only broadened my horizons but also reinforced my commitment to making a positive impact in the field of behavioral health. I am a strong mental health advocate especially in the communities that sometimes see mental health as an excuse rather than it being a disease. I am reminded that we are all strong enough to face It all even if it doesn’t feel like it in the moment.

In Behavioral Health, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting individuals in their mental health journeys, helping them navigate the challenges of life with compassion and evidence-based practices. My work has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to apply the skills and knowledge I gained during my college years while continuing to learn and grow within this ever-evolving field.

Now, I’m eager to give back to the community that has given me so much. I want to contribute to the alumni association by helping to build stronger connections among graduates, providing mentorship to current students, and supporting initiatives that promote mental well-being across our network. I believe that by fostering a supportive and engaged alumni community, we can create lasting positive change both within our institution and beyond.
