Congratulations to Camoy Cunningham and Alyssa Fazio who have been selected as Students of the Semester for the Day College.

Camoy and Alyssa have been selected for this distinguished accolade by the Day College Faculty because of their 3.8+ GPA, demonstrated academic excellence, and overall dedication to their studies. Read more about Camoy and Alyssa here:

Camoy Cunningham was born in St. James, Jamaica and went to Mount Saint Michael Academy highschool,and graduated in 2023. Due to the full academic scholarship he was given, along with persistent encouragement, Camoy knew that The College of Westchester was the right choice for him. His major is business administration and marketing, and he is due to graduate in 2027 with a bachelor’s degree. His career goal is to find a stable and fulfilling place of income where he never has to worry about paying the bills for good. He currently lives at homewith his mother, stepfather, and sister.

Alyssa Fazio was born at Saint John’s Hospital in Yonkers, New York. She began her high school journey at
Arlington High School in Poughkeepsie, before transferring to Lincoln High School in Yonkers, where she completed the rest of her studies. When it came time to choose a college, Alyssa was drawn to The College of Westchester (CW) not only for its programs but also because of the warm reception she received from Janina in Admissions, along with the wealth of information provided. After her visit, she knew CW was the perfect fit. Alyssa chose tomajor in Human Services because of her passion for helping others reach their full potential and grow. In addition to her studies, she works part-time as an administrative assistant at Mercedes-Benz, with aspirations of advancing further in her role.

Alyssa’s dedication and well-rounded nature have contributed to her success, including her appointment as President of CW’s Student Government Association. She is also active in the Not Just Business club, where she played a key role in planning and organizing Envirofest, a climate awareness event.

Alyssa currently resides in Bronxville, New York and is set to graduate with an associate degree in April 2025.
