CW Announces Student Warriors of the Semester for the Evening-Online College

Congratulations to Miosotis and Khrystyn who have been selected as Students of the Semester for the Evening/Online College.

Miosotis and Khrystyna have been selected for this distinguished accolade by the Evening/Online College Faculty because of their 3.8+ GPA, demonstrated academic excellence, and overall dedication to their studies. Read more about Miosotis and Khrystyna here:

Miosotis was born in Manhattan and raised in the Dominican Republic until she was eight years old. From the third grade onward, she attended school in the United States. Her journey has exemplified perseverance and dedication, as Miosotis balanced her educational pursuits with work and family responsibilities.

Throughout her career, Miosotis gained valuable experience in the healthcare field, serving as a practice supervisor at New York-Presbyterian Medical Group for several years. Her passion for leadership and patient care has driven her to continue advancing in her profession.

Miosotis chose to attend CW because of its strong academic programs and supportive learning environment, which align with her professional and personal aspirations. Miosotis appreciates the opportunities CW provides to help students grow academically and professionally. Currently Miosotis is majoring in Health Services Administration (BBA) at CW and has worked hard to excel in her studies. Miosotis takes great pride in her academic achievements, maintaining straight A’s while balancing her responsibilities.

The dedication to Miosotis’ education has further motivated her to achieve her goals and is on track to graduate in June 2027 with a bachelor’s degree in health services administration, a milestone that will open new doors in her career. With this degree, Miosotis hopes to expand her opportunities and make a greater impact in the healthcare industry. Her ultimate career goal is to advance into a leadership role, such as a manager or director in the healthcare field, where she can contribute to improving patient care and operational efficiency.

Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Miosotis is a devoted wife and mother of two boys and beloved Maltipoo, Rosie. Miosotis’ journey reflects resilience, determination, and a commitment to achieving success in both her personal and professional life.

Khrystyna was born in Ukraine and completed her high school education at School No. 3 in Ternopil, known for its advanced curriculum in foreign languages. She began her university studies in Ukraine but was unable to complete her degree due to relocating abroad as a result of the war.

Currently, Khrystyna is pursuing an Associate Degree in Accounting at The College of Westchester, where she was drawn to the supportive and passionate community, as well as the strength of the academic program. She is expected to graduate in late summer 2025. Khrystyna is dedicated to advancing her career in accounting and aims to grow professionally within the financial sector.
